HMN Painter – Land Presence

Living in the region since 2010, her practice is rooted in the deserts of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where she works both en plein air and in the studio. Shaped by glare, exposure, strain, and solitude, the work reflects reduced complexity as a consequence of proximity to the land. Some paintings remain as they were painted in the open air; others continue in the studio until they hold the same condition.
